Single Sided In-Mold Decoration

YOSHIDA Group was the first company in the world to develop the in-mold techonology (widely known as In-Mold Decoration) of molding and decorating a product at the same time. In-Mold Decoration is performed by inserting a ink decorated foil into the mold at the time of plastic injection molding. Compared to the standard method where the product is printed or painted after the molding is completed, you are able to get a finished part with a single process, shorten the lead time and improve the yield rate.

Double Sided In-Mold Decoration

The front and back sides of a product are decorated at once by placing two foils in the mold so that they sandwich the product. By injecting transparent plastic into the mold, a thickness is created between the designs of the front and back foil, creating a design with three dimensional image.

A method for combining different materials, by puching out aluminum plates within the mold and performing injection molding at the same time. By integrating metal and resin, the product gains a luxurious metallic image。

Deep Draw In-Mold Decoration

Deep Draw In-Mold Decoration was developed by Yoshida with the original invention of a unique mold design and foil structure so that in-mold is even possible on curved surfaces and box-like (3D) deep drawn forms.

Thin Wall In-Mold Decoration

In the past, In-Mold Decoration with thin walls was thought to be impossible. However, by improving mold design, developing a special foil and coming up with a new method for molding, Yoshida was able to realize thin wall In-Mold Decoration. Making the products thinner and lighter will also lead to the saving of resources.

Mask Mold

The Mask Mold technology realizes what was not possible before; the decorating "deep drawn" formed products with patterned design. This process is achieved by inserting the preformed decorative sheet and molding of pneumatically molded objects. The entire surface will be beautifully enveloped with a design that cannot be expressed with just the painting or printing of flat surfaces.

NCVM (Sn) In-Mold Decoration

NCVM (Sn) In-Mold Decoration provides a product with a metallic texture that does not interfere with the electromagnetic radiation of consumer eletronic products that contain antennas. By controlling the transmittance of tin deposition on the foil, it is also possible to obtain a wider variety of product designs and shapes.

Double-Shot In-Mold Decoration(DCP)

A product is in-molded when the top surface of the 2nd mold is being injected by the rotary 2 shot molding machine. With this technology, it is possible for the front side of a product to be transparent acrylic with UV hard coat with Single Sided Inmold Decoration, and for the back side to have ribs and bosses of a different material (such as colored ABS or PC).

NCVM In-Mold Decoration

With this technology, a metallic texture that is much brighter than tin can be achieved. Also, the property of indium is more adequate for the In-Mold Decoration of deep drawn shapes than tin foils.

EF (Electric Forming) In-Mold Decoration

Electric formed plates that are embedded in the transparent plastic boost the luxurious image of products. The surface is in-molded with UV hard coat which protects the product from scratches.

This technology is for directly printing digital data such as photos and illustrations onto the surface of plastic products. Printing is possible on not only flat surfaces but also slightly curved surfaces.

This technology is a type of deposition that decorates a product with layers of thin films that change color according to the angle at which it is viewed.

Direct Transfer Foil

Standard transfer foils and foils for In-Mold Decoration can be created with the ink-jet printer. Full-color foils can be instantly created without making plates; therefore it is possible to actually check the samples of the transferred design ideas and prepare original transfer foils for extremely small lots.
